TimeScribe for MAC

Free, open-source time tracker for Mac: log work hours, breaks and projects from the menu bar, with no account, no cloud and no subscription.

TimeScribe Overview

TimeScribe is a time tracker for people who want to keep a record of their working hours without paying for a subscription, creating an account or sending their data to a cloud. You start, pause and stop the timer with one click from the menu bar, and the app shows your day and your week as work patterns. It can also start and pause by itself, based on screen time and idle status.

For freelancers and remote workers there is project tracking with descriptions, hourly rates and billing calculations, absence planning for vacation, sick leave and holidays, and export to PDF, Excel and CSV. Optional app tracking shows which apps you used and lets you sort work from distractions; it is off by default. All data stays on your Mac and the app works offline. TimeScribe is free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license and is developed by WINBIGFOX. It needs macOS 12 or later and has separate downloads for Apple Silicon and Intel. It is built for individual users rather than teams.
